I think this is a tad absurd but if you didn’t already know Kenny Hotz [Kenny vs. Spenny] has had a Human Rights complaint filed against him from a British Columbian man, Dean Skoreyko. Apparently he was highly offended when Hotz flew a plane over Toronto with the banner “Jesus Sucks”. As a Christian he felt his “beliefs and upbringing were publicly ridiculed”[1] Did I mention that Skoreyko is in British Columbia… he watched the video online. He doesn’t even live in Toronto. This gag was for the competition, Who Can Offend The Most People… maybe they should rename it Who Can Offend The Most People The Furthest Away… Kenny would definitely win and Skoreyko should do the humiliation.
This is very presumptuous of Skoreyko. Why is he assuming it was Jesus Christ that Kenny was talking about… it could have been Jesus Gonzalez? Jesus Lopez? Jesus Iglesias? Or even Jesus Smith.
I would just like to know why there aren’t any Human Rights complaints filed against that eloquent and always articulate male chauvinist Dick Masterson. Oh right, I forgot… slandering and being hateful and derogatory towards women is A-Okay, just don’t mess with Jesus.
[WARNING: This is strictly opinion] I am not religious and please don’t see this as hate, only opinion BUT are Christians really ones to talk? I don’t know Dean Skoreyko personally nor do I know the extent of his be;oef system. What I am about to say is only speculation but any Christians what I have personally dealt with have been very hate-filled and crass towards those who do not share their beliefs… especially those who are not Caucasian. It seems okay for Christians to condemn homosexuals, condemn women who have had abortions; or are pro-abortion and even condemn books that mention witchcraft and wizardry… why pick on Kenny? It was just a gag and he was just going along with the competition. Here is a thought, why not go against people who commit real hate crimes, not just ones for shock-value television.
I am a Satirist and I get offened when people cannot see the subtle humour in the little things; in life.
I think I may file my own Human Rights complaint against Dean Skoreyko, he has offended me as a fan of Kenny vs. Spenny. My belief system and television-watching decisions have been personally upset. Skoreyko has offended me with his lack of humour… oh and being Christian!?!?!
It is just a television show… since when did everything started being taken so seriously.
Hopefully the case will be thrown out for being ridiculous.
